David Ward
Director of the Clinical Language Sciences Speech Research Laboratory

David Ward has been a speech therapist at the Apple House since 1999. He is primarily responsible for the adult caseload, but also sees teenage and younger children. He combines his post at Oxford with a lectureship at the University of Reading, where is Director of the speech research laboratory and where he teaches speech language therapy students. His combined posts at Oxford and Reading enable him to conduct research onto both clinical aspects of stammering and cluttering together with more theoretical ones, including articulatory control and brain functioning in people who stammer and clutter.
